About Zen House
Zen House is an intimate space built for private events, live music and recording.
Located in the middle of the Cooper-Young neighborhood in Memphis, Zen House gives you more than a blank room. Our building is a versatile, hidden-gem event space, recording studio, and rehearsal lounge.
True to its name, Zen House focuses on creating a cozy, immersive environment. The interior features rich wood paneling and customizable LED decorative lighting that allows hosts to set the exact mood they want. Whether it’s a high-energy DJ set, an intimate candlelit acoustic performance or a laid-back birthday party, we have everything you need for your event.

Live Music/Events
Whether you’re hosting a full band, a DJ, or streaming music via Bluetooth, our stage has the flexibility and space to make it happen. LED lighting sets the mood, and a complete sound system—amps, speakers, and subwoofers—is available for your use, so you can focus on the performance, not the logistics.

Professional Sound
Our signature Zen sound is our specialty. The venue’s unique shape and warm wood paneling work together to create crisp, balanced, immersive audio. Every detail of the room works with the sound, not against it. And if you want to take your event even further, we can provide a professional audio engineer or lighting designer to elevate the experience even more, available as an add-on for an additional fee.

Recording Studio
Zen House Studios is built for serious sound and creative inspiration. Outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, a full suite of plug-ins, and drum kits, bass/ guitar amps, this space is ready for tracking, mixing, and producing at the highest level. It’s also fully set up for rehearsals, making it perfect for bands, solo artists, and producers alike.

Tables and Chairs
Zen House can seat up to 60 people inside, perfect for an intimate reception, shower or birthday party.

Handcrafted Bar
Our beautiful, handcrafted bar was made with love and recycled wood. We have two refrigerators and a wine cooler to hold all of your beverages.
